Greetings!
I am Elizabet Marshall, resident of Hartshorn-dale. (Mundanely Kandy Fling). My husband, John Marshall atte Forde (Joe) and I are thrilled to be joining you this year at Pennsic. This will be our fourth Pennsic, our first with this group.
We have recently purchased a 10x12 wall tent from Panther. Im not sure what the total footprint is, though, since weve not set it up before. Wonder if theres anyone here with experience in that?
Were also offering to bring out 10x20 green house (for those who were at Alles Fair, its the one that we were selling spices and needlework supplies from, and holding down in the storm we promise to have it better staked out!) as a kitchen/sitting area. We will make the kitchen available to anyone who wants to use it (only real rule is if you use it, clean up). Johns pretty serious about food, as Im sure most of you know, and hes got a set up that takes about half the 10x20 a decent stove, a couple of work tables, etc. If the 10x20 is a problem, we also have a 10x10 pop-up ... we will need something for kitchen space, though.
Wed also like to cook dinner one evening for everyone. For that well need a count total people, plus meat eaters and vegetarians (the planned menu includes a bacon wrapped steak, but weve got great plans for the vegetarians as well).
We also have a fire pit bowl that we can bring if it would be welcome. We just bought a tripod and John is anxious to try over fire cooking, but if theres already fire pit plans, thats great (one less thing to bring is good, if its not needed).
Well be arriving Friday of land week, very, very early in the morning. As in, youll wake up to see our wagon sitting there by the road somewhere with us asleep in it :) Seems there are classes we both want to try to catch on Friday afternoon, so well need to unload and set up as soon as we can without waking everyone up
(They just had to schedule those classes then and only then, didnt they?).
Well probably be at classes and out and about most of the time during Pennsic, but in the later evenings were generally camp-bodies (we might go visiting after supper, but are usually home fairly early.)
