Greetings!

Pennsic is almost upon us. Block assignments have been issued. Land Grab
is Saturday morning, 28 July. Therefore...

To all on this list who are camping with "Shire of Caer Adamant" this year
please read and respond to the following.

To all on this list who are either camping elsewhere or are having to forgo
Pennsic this year, my condolences. Please ignore the directions which follow.

We have been assigned to block N34, our traditional block. With our 20
registered campers we have a land allocation of 5,000 square feet (20 campers X
250 square feet per camper = 5,000 square feet). The remaining 15,847 square
feet in our block will be used at the discretion of Pennsic staff.

>From each and every one of you I need:

1. A quick "Hi, I got this e-mail" reply. We have some new campers with us
this year, so please also include who you are, where you reside, and any
other information you would like the rest of us to know. Response to the
remaining points should come in a separate e-mail. I am asking for this quick
response so I know everyone is subscribed to this list. This is our only means
of communication.

After your intro, send...

1. Footprint dimensions of your tent. This includes not only the actual
floor of your tent, but also any extra taken up by staked ropes, dining fly,
rain tarp, etc. Indicate which dimension is your "front" so that we do not
tuck your tent in sideways, forcing you to exit into another tent.

Those who wish to be situated together can send a single response to this
request.

2. Date and approximate time of your arrival. Although I will once again
be placing stakes to identify everyone's space, I will also try to have
someone in camp when campers arrive.

3. Date you are selecting for camp chores. These include filling and
lighting communal tiki torches (fuel is part of site fee), policing site for
litter, and ensuring site is neat and tidy. Please give a first and second choice.

4. Expected date of departure.

Camp fee will be determined within the next few days. Final prices for the
water treatment system and firewood (yes, I know about the ban on importing
firewood -- we are confirming a local source) should be available next week.
If you will be at SRWP you can pay me then; otherwise please bring CASH to
Pennsic (I will not be able to cash a cheque there).

Feel free to use this list to get together with others to set-up a meal
plan, drum circle, bardic night, or whatever. We have a wonderful site and
should take advantage of its comfort!

So, you should be sending two e-mails. And sewing (or ordering...). And
checking your packing list...

In service,
~ Hedewigis.
