[Populace] Shire Meeting and Elections

Your Excellency,
While not stated in the by-laws, voting for office has always been unsigned or anonymous.  Are you stating that all ballots will now be signed, or that only the absentee ballots will be signed?    If proxy ballots are brought to the meeting with proof of membership and residency, why should they be signed?  Please clarify for those of us who are now confused.

Joscelyn asked a very good question, so I am posting it to the list in case others have the same question: 

According to the By-Laws, someone else may bring your "proxy" (absentee) ballot to the meeting for you if you cannot attend.  Your name must be written on the ballot and attached must be a copy of both your blue membership card (or recent pikestaff), and proof of residency (drivers license, utility bill, etc.).
