Here is a local event that some of the fighters and
fencers may want to attend. It just came to be.

Baron Luke Tarr of House Wilmot

> Winter Brawl The date is 2/17/07

>
> Come join the Households of Serpentius, TOAD, and
> Wilmot along with the
> Barony of Iron Bog in celebrating the art of hitting
> other people for fun!
> We have planned a day of indoor fighting, fencing
> and feasting to be held at
> the Cherry Hill Holiday Inn.
>
> Heavy Weapons Fighting: There will be both a novice
> (fighter authorized for
> two years or less in the SCA) and a regular double
> elimination tournament.
> What's the fun of winning a tournament if you don't
> get a cool prize? Duke
> Ronald of Wilmot has graciously provided a stainless
> steel bascinet! Lest we
> be accused of not encouraging the kinder virtues, a
> prize for "most
> chivalrous" will be awarded as well.
>
> Fencing: There will be both a novice (fencer
> authorized for two years or
> less in the SCA) and a regular tournament. We have
> prizes galore for the
> fencers as well, including a Darkwood Armory ring
> dagger!
>
> Youth Fighting: We have also planned youth fighting
> activities so that they
> can be encouraged to follow in their elders
> footsteps.
>
> Arts & Sciences: The gentle ladies of the house will
> not let us forget the
> skill of the artisans so in honor of them, an arts &
> sciences display is
> planned with a prize for populaces' choice.
>

> you intend to merchant,
> please contact the co-autocrat to reserve your
> space. Space is extremely
> limited, so please make arrangements early!

> also be a light day board of deli meats, cheese and
> bread during the day,
> which is included in the site fee.

> afterward! For those who prefer not to attend the

> nearby. As the hotel has
