Would all of the individuals in the Shire who are either
disabled or handicapped please join in this discussion.
First, in response to Baroness Joscelyn's post, please note
the wording that you quoted "

(a) When a place of public accommodation is located in a private
residence, the portion of the residence used exclusively as a
residence is not covered by this part, but that portion used
exclusively in the operation of the place of public accommodation or
that portion used both for the place of public accommodation and for
residential purposes is covered by this part.

                                                 "
and the use of the word "exclusive" therein. The areas in these
Lady's houses that will be used for the meetings and the party are
not used "exclusively" for these purposes.
Second,I am disabled. Must be, I live on the disability
check that I get from Social Security each month. I have trouble
standing for long periods and walking long distances from a back
injury. I have no problem making it into any of the meeting sites
that we have been using.
If there are any persons in the shire who can not make it to
a meeting that could if it were a ADA compliant site, please speak
up. If not, then the meeting and party should occur as planned, as
there is no problem.
If someone has a problem then we will make every effort to
accommodate them.

Jehan-Yves
