[Populace] Next Shire Meeting and Important Reminders

Greetings unto the Populace and Friends of the Shire,

The next Shire Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 17 at 7 p.m.  I
have endeavored to find a (free) public meeting place to no
avail.  Therefore, we will meet again at my humble abode.  Directions will
be updated on the website and posted again prior to the meeting.  As always
a social hour (usually more than an hour...lol) will follow the formal part
of the meeting.  I encourage all to attend.

Also, this is a reminder that *Letters of Intent* for the offices of
Seneschal, Exchequer, Chatelaine, Herald, Minister of Arts and
Sciences,Knight Marshall and Chronicler are due to me prior to the start of
the the Shire Meeting on October 17.  You may email them to me or mail them
(Valarie Ziminsky, PO Box 274, St. Georges, DE  19733) but please include a
copy of your blue card or Pikestaff for proof of membership, or be prepared
to show them to me when you hand in your letter.  Further, keep in mind that
a copy of the same as well as proof of residency (minors who live with
parents are excluded) will be needed to vote at the November
meeting.  Absentee ballots will be available as part of the Fort
Knights.  More info to follow.

The Shire Yule is approaching...we need to pick a date as well as a
location.  This will be discussed at the October Meeting.

The Red Hats Society Demo will take place on October 15!!!!  Please get in
touch with Serena if you plan on attending so an accurate count for the
planning of dayboard can be made ( moniquephotography at gmail.com).
 I encourage all to attend the local activities: Game Night, A & S Night,
Archery and Fighter Practices, Trivial Thursdays and Embroidery nights.  A
good time is always had by all plus these activities are just a nice low key
way to get to know each other.  As the weather cools and the days shorten,
let us not seek to hibernate too much within our abodes and from each other.

As for winter daytime events:  carpool, carpool, carpool!!!!  Save gas $$!!
See the Kingdom beyond the borders of Caer Adamant!!! There is much to be
appreciated north of us.  AND those of you in the southern regions of the
Shire, if you attend events in Atlantia, let the rest of us know as someone
may be interested in accompanying you.
