No singular person "in charge of" any successful event or activity can do it
all themselves...not an Autocrat, a Marshall, the person in charge of Troll,
the A & S Coordinator, the dayboard or feast cook nor any other person set
with the task of overseeing an event or activity. It takes a multitude of
helping hands...it takes a *team*, and forgive the cliche *but* there is no
"I" in team.

Yesterday, at Spring Thynge I was stuffing my face with Chocolate Cake when
the opportunity presented itself to thank those that helped me and I could
not do so. I would like to amend that "faux pas" now by extending heartfelt
thanks and appreciate to:

   - Master Hogge and Lord Cydifor for assisting on Friday with prep work
   and for the sheer pleasure of their company;
   - to Master Hogge again for cruising around the kitchen on Saturday
   and just doing whatever needed to be done (chopping, cleaning, stirring,
   etc.);
   - to Lord John Marshal for the creation of his tasty signature soup
   (Leek and Cabbage), and the advice through many emails;
   - to Baron Dietrich for his cooking skills, time, advice and
   encouragement, in light of just having produced a Coronation Feast for 160.

   - to Lady Serena, Lord Lewin's youngest son (I'm sorry I forgot his
   name), to my son Eric, and others who I may have forgotten (and please
   forgive me) who popped in and out of the kitchen to assist with
   small tasks. Due to good advance planning and preparation, there really
   wasn't a lot for others to do.

I am especially humbled and honored to have had the "best of the best"
working together as a *team*. *Thank you all!!!*

Having been set the challenge by my Pelican to be directly involved with a
feast and/or dayboard, and now having accomplished both, I am grateful for
the opportunities to have done so, and the subsequent lessons learned,
especially the development of a true appreciation for what is involved in
undertaking such an endeavor. To all past and future cooks, feastocrats, or
whatever we wish to call them...

*Vivat!! Vivat!!  Vivat!!*
