Greetings Caer Adamant!

Please come celebrate my birthday this year by participating in the English Language Institute demo on Sunday, July 15.

We've just confirmed that we are allowed to have archery & thrown weapons, in addition to the already approved heavy combat.

I'd like to ask our archery & thrown weapons marshals, and our Knight-marshal to please hold your weekly practices that day at the demo. There is plenty of space, you will have an apt & interested audience, and we'll have food & drinks for you as well.

I'd also like to ask all shire members to please volunteer for the demo! We need displays & exhibitions of anything & everything, and you are all needed to provide "color" and to interact with the students from the ELI and UD. (We are expecting anywhere from 100-200 ELI students to attend.) Please contact me privately or on this list if you can help with A & S displays.

We also need pavilions & period-looking sunshades, to help create the atmosphere of a medieval fair. Merchants are welcome, too.

The ELI & I will be providing food & drink for everyone.

Currently we have scheduled 2 musical performances, a poetry reading, and a display of spinning. Lord Cydifor will be running the "Tavern-on-the-Green."

The ELI is located on W. Main St. (Rt. 273) in Newark. Free parking is available for the demo. Website: http://www.udel.edu/eli/ We have access to the building & grounds for the entire weekend, so set-up can happen at our convenience.

And don't forget: it IS my birthday! Please come celebrate with me.

More details to come!
