I have a very short morality play, written for me many years ago by Lady Bronwyn Jourdemain of the Debatable Lands, called "The Fall of Adam." I would very much like to present it at the ELI demo.
I played "God" in the past, and still have most of the lines memorized! To do this we would need an Adam, an Eve, and a Serpent. The lines are short and easy to learn, being done in rhyme; the play lasts no longer than 5 minutes. Props are an apple, maybe a tree, and costumes would be simple white robes for Adam & Eve, a robe, beard, and halo for God, and something appropriately "snakey" for the serpent. Eve needs to act a little sexy!
Would anyone like to do this? It would be a lot of fun, and we could also do it for the Red Hats demo. The play itself is both witty and funny.
Opening lines:
God: For 5 days now have I travailed,
all to create this pleasant world.
The sun illuminates the day,
the moon at night doth light my way.
Now land & water have I made,
the greensward at my feet arrayed
with blooming flowers, herbs, & trees.
Fauna, fishes, fowls, & beasts, all these
have I set in My creation.
Now I need one more thing. Let me see.
Ah yes! Someone to worship me!
Please let me know if you're interested!
